Application:
Instrumentation Cables are designed for use in the provision of voice and data services and the interconnection of electrical equipment and instruments especially in and around process plants.

Construction
1. Conductors :
Plain annealed copper wires to BS 6360
2. Insulation : PVC
3. Pairs: Insulated cores are twisted to form a pair, and the length of lay of any pair shall not exceed 100mm
4. Colour Code: Black/White with pair number printed on white core
5. Individual Screen (IS) (optional): Aluminium / Polyester tape, with tinned copper drain wire 0.5mm²
6. Cabling: The required number of pairs shall be assembled in concentric layers
7. Wrapping: Polyester Binder tape
8. Collective Screen (OS): Aluminium / Polyester tape, with tinned copper drain wire 0.5mm²
9. Nylon Yarn: For easy stripping
10. Bedding (optional): PVC
11. Armouring (optional): Galvanized steel wires to BS 1442
12. Outer sheath: PVC

Technical Information
1. Maximum Operating Temperature : 70°C to 105°C
2. Maximum Working Voltage : 300 / 500 V r.m.s
3. Test Voltage : 1000V r.m.s. for 1 min between conductor, and between conductors and screen / armour
4. Minimum Insulation Resistance at 20°C Indivudual Conductor (between each conductor and remaining bunched conductors / screens and / or armour) : 25 Mohm/km
5. Maximum Mutual Capacitance of pairs or adjacent cores at 1 KHz : 200 pf/m
6. Maximum Capacitance between any core and screen : 400 pF/m
